The project consists of the deconstruction/reconstruction of the Val Thorens Sports Centre as well as the nearby bus station (an 11 090 m² floor area ground, excluding technical and logistics areas).
The Sports Centre is made of four levels:
– a multipurpose space with stands and squash courts;
– a conference area, including a room with stands (450 seats);
– a bodybuilding area;
– a water area (400 m² of pools);
– a relaxation area with saunas, steam rooms, healing baths;
– a wellness space;
– several accessible terraces, including the main roof, connected to the public space.
The existing Sports Centre is part of the “Val Thorens Sports and Shopping Centre” real estate complex.
In addition to the work associated with the Sports Centre and the bus station, the project means:
– the renovation of the interior square of the Shopping Centre and its access from “la Place des Arolles”, both affected by the works;
– making the Shopping Centre accessible for people with reduced mobility;
– the creation of independent wet network connections for the Shopping Centre
